David Towns, MD
Dr. Towns, originally from a small Northern Vermont town of 1,200 residents, received his fellowship and certification in interventional pain management at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in New Hampshire. As a Board-Certified Anesthesiologist with a specialty in pain management, he treats a wide range of chronic pain conditions, with a focus on spinal issues and severe pain.
Dr. Towns takes a multi-modal approach, using a combination of physical and injection therapies, such as spinal cord stimulation and medication management, to improve patient functionality and decision-making. He is dedicated to reducing reliance on narcotics and educating patients on a variety of treatment options to achieve the best possible results.
In his personal time, Dr. Towns enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. He is passionate about scuba diving, finding tranquility in the underwater world. He is also in the process of obtaining a pilot’s license. Additionally, Dr. Towns loves hiking scenic trails and traveling to new destinations, enriching his life with diverse experiences and adventures.
Bogdan Anghel, MD
Dr. Bogdan Anghel was born in Bucharest, Romania, where he earned his medical degree from “Carol Davila” University Medical School. He completed his surgical residencies at Flushing Hospital Medical Center in New York, NY, and the Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. His training concluded with a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, PA.
With twenty-six years of experience, Dr. Anghel specializes in the management of painful spine and musculoskeletal disorders. He has a particular interest in interventional procedures such as epidural steroid injections, spine and peripheral joint injections, peripheral radiofrequency neurolysis, and spinal cord stimulator trials.
Dr. Anghel is board certified and re-certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, as well as in Pain Medicine. He is proficient in Romanian, Spanish, and German.
Currently residing in Show Low, AZ, Dr. Anghel leads an active lifestyle that includes running, hiking, and weightlifting. He is an avid reader of non-fiction and enjoys playing chess.

John Kycey, CRNA is a Nurse Anesthetist with experience in pain management since 2010.

A dual certified Nurse Practitioner in acute care and family practice, Ms. Overbey works with patients to improve their quality of life and pain experience.
Mandy Neblett, FNP-C
Mandy Neblett, DNP, FNP-C, is the Assistant Medical Director at Sun Pain Management. As a Doctor of Nursing Practice and Family Nurse Practitioner, she has extensive experience in Infectious Disease, Public Health/Community Health, Internal Medicine, and Pain Management. She initially specialized as a registered nurse in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit.
Since 2011, Mandy has been working as a Family Nurse Practitioner and earned her Doctorate in Nursing Practice in 2021. Originally from Phoenix, she enjoys spending quality time with her two children and family.
Sue Hesketh, NP
A board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner, Ms. Hesketh has experience in pain management, orthopedics, internal medicine, pre-and post-operative care, physical medicine, rehabilitation, and home health. Her goal in treating her patients is to empower them to manage their pain and increase their quality of life.
