David Towns, MD

Our founder and medical director, Dr. David Towns, has dedicated his career to caring for patients with all types of chronic pain. He is a board-certified Anesthesiologist fellowship trained Interventional Pain Management.

Dr. Towns attended Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in New Hampshire where he completed his
fellowship and Certification in Interventional Pain Management. He has a background in anesthesiology and is also a Board-Certified Anesthesiologist.

Dr. Towns has been caring for patients in the state of Arizona for the over 8 years and has dedicated his career to caring for patients with all types of chronic pain.

Bogdan Anghel, MD

Dr. Anghel is Double Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, as well as Pain Medicine. He graduated from Carol Davila University of Medicine in Bucharest, Romania prior to completing general surgery
training at the Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA.

Dr. Anghel moved to the Valley in 2002 to practice Pain Management and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation where he has had the opportunity to treat patients suffering from a wide variety pain issue. Dr. Anghel’s experience has allowed him to develop a comprehensive approach to diagnosing and treating pain.

Bonita Jones, ACNP

Bonita Jones’s personal mission is ‘make a difference in her patient’s lives through multidisciplinary care’. Jones serves as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner at Sun Main Management with almost 30 years’ experience.

John Kycey, CRNA

John Kycey, CRNA is a Nurse Anesthetist with experience in pain management since 2010.

Julie Overbey, NP

A dual certified Nurse Practitioner in acute care and family practice, Ms. Overbey works with patients to improve their quality of life and pain experience.

Mandy Neblett, NP

A Family Nurse Practitioner at Sun Pain Management, Ms. Neblett is board certified in critical care and cardiac medicine. With 15 years’ experience, she specializes in injection therapy, including trigger point injections, carpal tunnel injections, minor and major joint injections.

Sue Hesketh, NP

A board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner, Ms. Hesketh has experience in pain management, orthopedics, internal medicine, pre-and post-operative care, physical medicine, rehabilitation, and home health. Her goal in treating her patients is to empower them to manage their pain and increase their quality of life.

Sandra Gallo, NP

Sandy received her undergraduate degree from Alfred University in NY, followed by her Masters in Nursing and Nurse Practitioner degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1992. She has been accredited through the American Nurses Credentialing Center in Pain Management since 2008. She successfully completed and obtained recognition as Fellow through the Academy of Integrated Pain Management in 2014.

 

She previously owned Arizona Pain Institute, providing quality, proactive care to patients with complex, chronic debilitating pain. Her dedication to her patients and the advancement of the Pain Management discipline can be readily seen through her continuous efforts to maintain high standards of care, best practices, and education for herself and staff around her.  She firmly believes that each patient has a different story that is invaluable to their experience as a patient. She believes that interventions are key to guiding people to a path where their lives are more comfortable, functional and enjoyable.

Sandy actively participates in numerous continuing education programs, opportunities and speaking engagements both local and nationally; as well, she continues to cultivate and implement patient safety classes, teaching tools and staff development. She is also a prior member of the Arizona Board of Nursing’s Advanced Practice Committee, writing and reviewing Opinion Statements for standards of care. 

When not with her patients, Sandy enjoys spending time with her growing family, hiking, reading, gardening and trying new recipes with her husband of over 32 years.
